Arcade, Battersea Power Station
Taking its inspiration from street market culture, the recently opened Arcade Food Hall at the restored Battersea Power Station has seating for 500 customers and boasts 13 different cuisines on its menu. As well as the Food Hall, the 24,000 sq ft space also features 2 bars, 3 restaurants, and a private dining room, Arcade Battersea offers 7 days a week dining and has become an instant hit, wowing diners from across the capital as well as hosting a wide variety of events, from product and PR launches to summer socials and music after parties.
Given its multi-functional nature, premium audio was an absolute essential for Arcade, with integrators HD Pro Audio (part of Marquee Group) engaged to design and install a suitable system.
HD Pro Audio had previously carried out interim work and programming updates on Arcade’s existing Tottenham Court Road venue, having been introduced by a long-standing client.
The Battersea project followed directly from this work, with a brief to provide a high quality system that could deliver an impactful audio profile that could cater to DJ sets and live music as well as background music. A Pioneer PRO AUDIO system was chosen to meet the challenge.
The whole system at Arcade consists of 42 x CM-S58T-K (8” surface mount), 6 x CM-S54T-K (4.5” surface mount), 2 x XY-122 (12” two way, full-range), 2 x XY-118S (bass reflex subwoofer), and 1 x XPRS10 (10” full range active). A Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 digital mixer and CDJ-3000 professional multi-player completed the picture.
