Fucina
Fucina, part of the London-based NZR Group set up in 2013 by renowned restaurateur Kurt Zdesar, is a high quality Italian restaurant in Paddington Street, Marylebone. Conviviality and sharing is at the heart of Fucina, from its menus and tables, to its décor and music.
The restaurant’s sculptural brick ceiling, made up of undulating curves, brings to life the inside of a traditional oven: the Fucina (a forge in English). With a focus on the artisan process of hand-making bread, pizza and pasta, Fucina’s philosophy is that it’s the quality of ingredients that make Italian food taste so good, when combined sensibly and cooked properly.
Fucina wanted a great background and foreground sound with input points for live DJs, but Marquee AV also had to meet the interior design criteria for it to be aesthetically discreet.
To meet both requirements Marquee AV designed the main system using K-array loudspeakers, with high-end processing and control from Biamp. The results provided Fucina with a system that provides excellent sound quality from background to entertainment levels. Marquee AV additionally provided a Lutron system for automated window blinds at Fucina.
