Jackson & Rye, Wardour Street
Located in London’s Wardour Street, well known for its many hospitality venues, is the American-style bar, café and restaurant of Jackson & Rye. Few London dining establishments succeed in recreating the sleek design and smooth operation of the best US restaurants, but with its Martin Brudnizki Design Studio interior, Jackson & Rye looks just right. With its well-placed central bar in an L-shaped room, flattering low lighting, attentive and engaging service and quality American menu, Jackson & Rye has earned a well-deserved reputation.
Marquee AV was commissioned to design, supply and install an audio system in keeping with the style and atmospheric requirements of Jackson & Rye.
To provide the sound quality Marquee chose Bose Freespace wall-mount loudspeakers, and to merge with the aesthetics they custom-painted them to the client’s specified RAL colour. A Cloud 3-zone mixer provides the multiple source and independent zone control required and the addition of remote volume control/selectors allows for quick and easy system control by the staff. The signal is processed by two DBX professional graphic equalizers to provide the frequency balance for the room acoustics and required atmosphere. The loudspeakers are powered by Cloud multi-channel amplifiers, which provide all the power and headroom required to deliver quality sound at the levels required by the venue. Music for the system is via the hard disk media server provided and installed by Marquee.
